Brand Identity ยท Art Direction

Daybreak Goods needed a brand that felt as thoughtful and handmade as the products behind it. With a business rooted in simple ingredients, slow living, and a farmstead lifestyle, the challenge was finding a visual direction that felt unique to them while still leaving room for the business to grow into other areas.

I started by asking questions and digging into the story behind the business: what mattered to them, how they wanted people to feel when looking at their brand, and what made Daybreak Goods different. Being able to watch the bread-making process firsthand and hear what it meant to wake up at the break of dawn to get started gave me a deeper understanding of the care behind the products. Those little details became an important part of the creative direction.

With that in mind, I took the lead and developed a visual identity that felt handcrafted, thoughtful, and rooted in a slower way of living, like a neighbor in the community. I pulled from the hands-on nature of the bread process, the slow pace, and the farmstead lifestyle to shape the typography, color, photography, and hand-drawn details. The result was a flexible brand that captured the artistry and care behind their products.
